Dylan has an excellent blog that might be an undiscovered delight for many readers of Gower Street. She is a Biblical Scholar, and every week she posts a commentary on the lectionary readings for the upcoming Sunday. Many people who have to stand up and preach make a habit of checking out her thoughts and insights first; I know I do. But many other people who aren't necessarily responsible to preach could profit from this, too. A layperson who would like a deeper engagement with the Scriptures before hearing a sermon on Sunday could gain a great deal from perusing her blog. Even if you're not in a lectionary-based church, her meditations on various passages would be helpful. So swing on by when you've got time, and tell her you heard about it on the Street.
