If You're From Chicago, You'll Plotz!
Check out this post on Gaunilo's Island; if you're from Chicago, you'll plotz!
Theology, History, Anglican Communion doings, Food, Urban Design and Architecture, &c.: Ever seeking to prove that half is rather a lot of wit.

I am an Episcopal Priest studying for a Ph.D. in theology at the University of Cambridge. I have a lovely wife and two daughters who are both clever and beautiful (so, they take after my wife).

Hey Jason - thanks for the link! Wasn't sure if anybody else would get the humor of the situation. But I'm afraid I had to look up "plotz" on Urban Dictionary. Feeling a little unhip...
Gaunilo:
You're welcome! Your vignette made me laugh out loud when I first read it. As for "plotz", I just like using Yiddish expressions because they are so evocative (almost onomatopoetic), but I don't think that qualifies me as "hip". But just in case you are still under such an illusion, you should know that I had to google "Urban Dictionary" to know what you were talking about!
That is funny - ships passing in the terminological night, as it were. Goes to show my utter ignorance of all things Yiddish. I rather like the phrase "you'll plotz" though; perhaps I'll use it as my new banner.
Anyway, I'm new to Gower St. and like what you're doing here. It's been great to learn about some of the "faith-based" bloggers out there.
