Not your typical Friday afternoon in London

This afternoon, as the announcer on BBC radio put "a ruddy great whale has swum up the Thames!" Not the sort of thing one would expect in, say, the Chicago River, despite what some textbooks might say. (I dare you to ask me to clarify that last remark.)

The sad news is that the whale is probably injured and might very well die.
