Hart and Mind

On the whole, I have enjoyed reading David Bentley Hart. But sometimes I find that he reads like a chainsaw going through an unabridged dictionary! Take the following for example, which just show up in the introduction:

nubilous
marmorean
velleity
parataxis
foliation
impetration
diegesis

And since I have already dipped into the next chapter, how about:

divarication
tenemos
bacchante
amphiboly
defatigation
diredemption
atelic
caducity
inderacinable
inspissinated
autotelic
vastitude
nisus
chromaticism
scission
bibulous

Clearly, not a book for the linguistically faint of heart!
